Staff Services
The staff at OMSS (Orthopedic Medical Supply Source) are well-trained to answer your questions and provide fitting services for the products we provide. Anything from braces to compression stockings are properly sized to fit the patient’s needs and lifestyle. Physicians are encouraged to contact us to help decide what is best for their patient if there are any questions.
We also provide the option of delivery to your door as well as installation if needed.
For more complex issues, we have the ability to refer you directly to Anderson’s Orthopedics who can custom design and fabricate orthosis should the need arise.
Items OMSS Provide
- An array of mobility assistive devices including crutches, walkers and canes.
- Supportive orthopedic devices including neck, back, wrist, knee, and ankle braces. We supply orthotics to accommodate all ages including kids.
- Independence assistive devices for home to help those for persons with mobility issues or disability including items such as shower chairs, toilet raises, and tub chairs.
- Soft goods includes an array and colors and styles and length of compression stockings. We also carry soft ankle braces and braces for tendon issues such as tennis elbow.
- We also provide an array of orthotics for different types of foot and ankle problems
Post-operative Items
We also provide for post-operative items, such as:
- Ice machines (cryotherapy)
- Replacement bandages and waterproof bandages
- Assistive devices
- Canes
- Crutches
- Toilet raises
- Bars for the shower
Insured Services
Manitoba Health covers many items OMSS provide if prescribed by a physician for covered diagnosis. This includes devices such as walker boots, splints after a fracture or a knee brace for arthritis. Some items are not covered by government insurance but may be covered by your private insurance policy, Worker Compensation Board, Manitoba Public Insurance, Manitoba Blue Cross, Non Insured Health Benefits. Contact OMSS or contact your private carrier to ask if the item you need is covered.
OMSS directly invoices the insurance company on behalf of our clients.
